Traditional Bikram class: Our beloved challenging series of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, suitable for all ages and all levels of ability. Bikram yoga is scientifically designed to deliver total heath through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness and injury, promote weight loss, and limit the effects of aging. 90 minutes, high heat and humidity.
Silent Traditional Bikram class: All of the above, except the teacher practices with you. While they set the tone and timing of the class, very little instruction is given. For that reason we ask that you only attend this class once you have completed your introductory time period.
Introductory Bikram class: A Bikram-based class, designed for those who are beginners, concerned about the heated room, or are coming back to the studio after an injury or a long break. 60 minutes, low heat and humidity
The Golden Hour: A Bikram-based class designed for the student who has mastered the Bikram basics, loves a good tune, and is looking for a fun challenge. It has proven to be a great space to focus on fundamentals and to incorporate postures from other hatha yoga styles. 60 minutes, high heat and humidity
Mid-Week Express: Kelly will be trialing a new class at both the 4:30pm and 6pm time slots on Wednesday evenings in November. The Express Class is 1 hour long and consists of the same sequence of postures and heated environment you have grown to love in the traditional class, but shortened to 60 minutes. It is perfect for the beginning student or regular practitioners with busy schedules! (ALL LEVELS WELCOME)
Yin Yoga class: A unique style of yoga in that once an appropriate edge is found, meaning not too much or too little intensity, the pose is held with relaxed muscles over a period of time. Keeping the muscles relatively passive allows the benefits of the posture to transfer to connective tissue, such as ligament, fascia, and even bone at the joints and throughout the body. Much of the focus in a Yin practice is centered on the low back and hips. Success in a Yin pose is characterized by feelings of fragility and vulnerability, and a lack of desire to move. This class has been added to create balance with our Bikram world, as an excellent compliment. 90 minutes, low heat and humidity
PLEASE ARRIVE 20 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST CLASS.
New students under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent
or legal guardian for the first 3 classes.
